Brewer -
An informational meeting was held to help folks understand Maine's changing medical marijuana law.
Representatives from Medical Marijuana Caregivers of Maine were on hand to help answer any questions.
Members of the panel want folks to know how they are working to protect privacy and rights of patients and the caregivers.
Under the new law, medical marijuana patients will no longer have to register with the state to use the drug legally.
" I think the new law is pretty well. But again, we have some concerns about realistic possession limits and the ability for a doctor to be able to prescribe medical marijuana like any other medication."
The new law is scheduled to go into effect the last week of September of this year.
