Bangor - Manna Ministries has been giving out bottled water to help folks cool off, but its water supply is drying up.

Manna was tapped out Monday night and very little water came in Tuesday. So now it's asking for donations of bottled water.

The water is given to folks who come to the soup kitchen and food pantry as well as people right off the streets.

"Most of us can go into an air conditioned room or a place with a fan. It's great and we can open our refrigerators and take all the water we want. But for a lot of people this small glass of water is sometimes the difference between passing out, going to St. Joe's or Eastern Maine Medical or making it through the day," said Manna Executive Director, Bill Rae.

Water can be brought to Manna at 629 Main Street in Bangor. Manna staff is there every day, around the clock, to receive donations.
