Winslow - A happy camper this summer has Winslow High School students to thank. They were given a $1,000 grant from the JOY Foundation to give to a charity of their choice.

There were two stipulations. The money had to help kids and it had to stay in Maine.

After a long process the students chose Camp Capella. "I'm really glad that there's a camp that offers this," said Winslow Junior Ernest Cyr. "That people can go to with disabilities. The things that I take for granted, going on boat rides, going paint balling, going snow boarding. Not every kid can do that. It's really sad but this place offers that. It gives them that experience and gives them something they can look forward to every summer."

Camp Capella's Executive Director Dana Mosher graciously received the kids' check.

Mosher says thanks to them a child will be able to come to Camp Capella this summer who would not have been able to otherwise.
