Dedham - The dreary weather didn't stop a group of high schoolers from heading outside Monday morning to fix up a local camp.

We head to Dedham, where kids from Brewer High School are giving Camp CaPella a good Spring cleaning.

In four weeks, Camp CaPella will open for the summer.

" We'll have a day camp and overnight camp and fires and toasting marshmallows and singing and boating and canoeing and arts and crafts. What a great summer it's going to be," said Dana Mosher, executive director of Camp CaPella.

To help get things off to the right start, Jobs for Maine's Graduates students from Brewer High School stopped by the Dedham camp to help spruce the place up.

" We've been putting the walkway down to the beach so that way people with wheelchairs can go down," said Amanda Hill, JMG president and a senior at Brewer High School.

" They putt in the docks, they're getting the boats ready, they did the bunk house," added Mosher.

It's kids helping kids; something executive director Dana Mosher loves to see, because after all, Camp CaPella relies on the community.

" People pitch in and they sponsor kids to come to this camp who otherwise would not ever have the opportunity to go to camp," said Mosher.

" They do a lot of good for a lot of people," said Ryan Simpson, a sophomore at Brewer High School.

" It's just amazing to be out here helping," added Macy Karl, a sopohomore at Brewer High School.

The Brewer High School students also donated $600 to Camp CaPella. Thanks to that money, they're sending one of their classmates to the camp this summer.
