Orono -
Grad students at UMaine have put their work on display.
The graduate student expo is a two-day showcase of their work and research.
There's formal judging, and a cash prize.
Categories range from oral presentation to art installation.
Organizers say it's an opportunity for students to practice presenting and defending their research.
The expo is also a chance for undergrads to check out what the graduate students work on.
The event continues Friday at the Wells Conference Center from 8:00 to 5:00.
