Fairfield -
Family and friends of a Fairfiled man who recently passed away celebrated his life today.
Merle Trott Sr. died at the age of seventy-three last month, but there were only smiles on the faces of his loved ones.
Trott was a veteran who made it a life mission to just make people laugh.
He spent more than forty years doing just that by creating a family clown business.
Everyone who came to pay their respects only shared their happiest memories.
According to his son, that's exactly what Trott would have wanted.
"He was a happy man. All his life he wanted to make people happy. He wanted other people to enjoy their lives as well as him and that's what he did and that's what we're doing here today. We're enjoying his life that he shared with us for 73 years," Merle Trott Jr.
Trott's son says his family is continuing his father's tradition of making people smile with his clown acts.
