Orrington -
The Curran Homestead in Orrington invited folks in Saturday for a Maple Festival and Irish celebration.
Organizers say they wanted folks to be able to get out of the house and enjoy the sunshine.
They say a lot of folks turned out and they think the weather had a lot to do with that.
Folks could see maple syrup being boiled, try some Irish stew and hear Irish music.
"The Curran Homestead is a tie to people's past. People are so busy with their daily lives they forget about the lives their rural ancestors lived."
In April the Curran Homestead has an Easter egg hunt planned. For a list of all events you can go to their website www.curranhomestead.org.
