Saturday marks eight years since the start of the war in Iraq.
Local activists met at the Peace and Justice Center of Eastern Maine to shed light on an expected Veterans for Peace demonstration in Washington.
Doug Allen of Peace and Justice says they're trying to motivate others to speak out.
They're inviting everyone to attend the Bring Home the War Money rally in Augusta on Monday, April 4th.
The Peace and Justice Center will arrange carpooling from the Bangor area.
