These results are more believable than the old survey that the wind developers keep dusting off that supposedly said 80% of Mainers favor wind. Those results came as no surprise given that the poll was paid for by the wind industry and was worded in such a way as to guarantee the desired result.
Kudos to WABI-TV5 for wording this poll correctly and running it in a statistically meaningful manner. I hope this result will be publicized widely so the true feelings of the people of Maine will be known.
