Before going out to dinner tonight, some local couples stopped by a local church for a special Valentine's event.
Radio station WHCF teamed up with the Bangor Baptist Church to give couples a chance to renew their vows.
More than fifty couples turned out for the event, which included food, music and prizes.
The Colson's, who have been married for almost fifty-five years, shared their secrets to making commitment last.
"Try to understand the other person, what they might be going through. Be considerate of one another, and we made a commitment."
The ceremony ended at six, so everyone had time to make their dinner reservations.
