With Hurricane Earl expected to make waves in Maine, power companies are keeping a close eye on its track.
They're preparing for any outages that may occur.
Bangor Hydro has added additional staff to the field and tree crews in all areas.
Company officials say they're focusing a lot of their efforts on Hancock and Washington counties.
Bangor Hydro wants to ensure that mainers stay safe.
"Typically the public can not distinguish between a power line or a communication so if they notice any lines down we encourage them to call our office," said Dan McCarthy with Bangor Hydro.
Extra crews have also been called in at Central Maine power news.
The company says the crews will report to work at 5 o'clock Saturday morning.
