Waterville -
A 24-year old man is behind bars after reportedly robbing a woman in Waterville and then running from police.
Police received a call Thursday afternoon that Garon Crosby allegedly robbed, assaulted and tied a woman to a bed in Waterville. When officers located Crosby he was in a cab. When they pulled over the driver police say Crosby fled the taxi. After a short chase on foot police caught up with him and arrested him.
Police say a woman claims Crosby tied her up that afternoon, threatened her with a knife and stole more than one-thousand dollars from her. Crosby has been charged with robbery and is being held at the Kennebec County Jail.
