Bread is bringing people together in Somerset county.
Farmers and bakers across the country, even the world, are attending an annual Kneading Conference in Skowhegan.
The conference is followed by an artisan bread fair, at the Skowhegan fair grounds.
The owner of King Arthur Flour Company spoke to a crowd of a couple hundred people.
Organizers say the events are to help bring back the art and science of locally grown and milled grain, as well as bread baking.
The conference and fair are expected to bring in nearly 800 people to the area from as far away as Hawaii, France and New Zealand.
