Crews at a construction company in Bangor are looking for a thief.

And they hope surveillance video - and a hefty reward - will help them catch the criminal.

The assistant plant manager at Lane Construction says the theft took place about 2:45 p.m. on June 8th.

Some one pulled into the company's equipment yard on Odlin Road, driving a late model, maroon, 4-door GMC or Chevy pick up.

The person hooked up the company's tack wagon to the truck and took off.

A tack wagon sprays liquid used in paving projects.

Brian Raymond says, the wagon is "roughly worth about 10-thousand dollars. But right now where it's our busy season, it's probably worth a little more because it takes a little while to replace and we need it. It's something we use everyday, something we use everyday on the job. I wouldn't say it's critical but it's something that's awful handy."

The company is offering a $1,000 reward to the anyone with a tip that helps authorities find the equipment.

If you have information in the case, you're asked the called the Penobscot County Sheriff's office at 947-4585.
