A Washington County grand jury has indicted a man from Baileyville accused of assaulting the town's police chief.
49-year-old David Troy is charged with assaulting an officer.
He's accused of attacking Police Chief Philip Harriman last fall while Harriman tried to serve him a protection from harrassment order.
Harriman was treated for facial injuries.
Troy in being held in the Cumberland County Jail on unrelated terrorizing charges.
