A man scheduled to go on trial in Ellsworth for allegedly stealing and crashing vehicles remains on the run.
48-year-old Brent Lovely of Old Town was supposed to be in court Monday, but never showed up.
A warrant has now been issued for his arrest.
He was first picked up last fall after a high speed chase.
Police say he crashed a stolen SUV on Route 1-A in Ellsworth, then stole another SUV.
Police tried to catch up with Lovely in that vehicle but say he crashed it, too, off Route 180 and ran into the woods.
Lovely faces a number of charges, including eluding an officer, theft and driving to endanger.
His lawyer says he was released from the Hancock County Jail last month for a treatment program in Limestone, but never returned when the program ended.
