Warnings will not be going on cell phones sold in Maine anytime soon.
Tuesday, lawmakers rejected a proposal to require health warnings on cellular phones in Maine Not one of the 13 members of the Health and Human Services Committee supported the bill.
However, some lawmakers voiced support for more information about cell phone use on the state web site.
An industry group, Tech-America, says scientific evidence so far does not indicate a public health risk, making warning labels misleading and confusing.
