State Championship weekend is finally here. Tonight, the Class B finals were held at the Bangor Auditorium. Tomorrow, the Class A finals will be in Portland while Classes C and D will be in Augusta. We start tonight with the Class B girls.

The Nokomis Warriors, in their first year in Class B, trying to win a state title for the first time in nine years. On the other side, York was in the final last year but lost to Waterville.

York led by one point after the first half. To start the second, a pretty bullet pass to Stephanie Gallagher. She gets it to fall. Two of her eight points.

Marissa Shaw had a good night. Here she hits the runner in the lane. She had eight points tonight for the Warriors. They got as close as four after being down double digits in the second half.

However, York was too much. Perhaps the experience helped tonight. They close it out down the stretch and win the state championship 40 to 35.

The loss to Waterville last year has been avenged for the Wildcats. They are your 2010 Class B Girls State Champions.
