The Grand’s Monthly High Octane Weekend series– a series of the best of the recent action-packed or horror movies all playing Fridays and Saturdays at 7 pm on the Coastal Eye Care screen at The Grand in Ellsworth- continues its new Winter season on Friday February 23rd and Saturday February 24th with one of the most anticipated sequels of the year- “Blade Runner 2049.” Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into chaos. K's discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years. With Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Jared Leto and Ana de Armas. (2017. US 2hrs, 44min. Directed by Denis Villeneuve. R.) Live from the MET: La Boheme (Puccini)

The “Live in HD” high-definition simulcast series of productions and hi def encore screenings from The New York Metropolitan Opera on the Grand's Coastal Eye Care Screen continues its 2017-2018 season on Saturday February 24th at 12:30 pm with Puccini's “La Boheme” in the classic production by Franco Zeffirelli. The world’s most popular opera returns starring a cast of young stars, including Sonya Yoncheva as the fragile Mimì and Michael Fabiano as the poet Rodolfo. Marco Armiliato conducts. The estimated run time is 2 hrs. 55 mins, with two intermissions. Tickets are Reserved Seating for this hi def simulcast and the prices are as follows- $27 for Adults, $25 for Grand Members and $20 for Students (15 & under). Broadway Boston: Waitress the Musical
