Come join Two Salty Dogs Pet Outfitters in it's 5th Annual Mutt Scrub on Saturday, July 29th at 22 McKown St. in Boothbay Harbor. Festivities and scrubbing take place between 11am and 3pm. Rain Date is Sunday, July 30th.
Not only will there be the scrubbing of mutts, but there will be competitions like The Doggie Talent Show, several rounds of Doggie Musical Chairs where the last dog to sit when the music stops is out, dog nail trimming, giveaways, $1,000s in Raffle prizes - including 6 months of Blue Buffalo Pet Food - and lots of FREE SWAG! ALL donations received benefit the Lincoln County Animal Shelter (http://lincoln.coastalhumanesociety.org)
Don't have a dog but want to help? Adoptable shelter dogs will be available for our volunteers to scrub with your donation. Also consider getting tickets to the dozens of our great raffle prizes. You won't be disappointed!

The MDI YMCA is joining with Unity Jiu Jitsu Studio of NYC in bringing a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu camp for kids AND aduls to the downeast community. All levels welcomed.
Beginner Kids, Ages 4-14 is for kids who have little to no experience with this sport. Camp runs Sunday, July 16 - Friday, July 21 from 10AM-12PM. $95 for the camp. MDI YMCA members get a discount. Gis are highly suggested but not required.
Advanced Adults, ages 14+ is for those with Jiu Jitsu experience. Camp runs Sunday, July 16 - Friday, July 21 from 10AM-12PM. $145 for the camp, MDI YMCA members get a discount. Gi uniforms and current rank belt are required.
Advanced Kids, Ages 4-14 is for kids who have experience with the sport. Camp runs Monday, July 24 - Saturday, July 29. Gi uniform and current rank belt are required. Kids who took Beginner Kids camp the week before are welcome to join. $95 for the camp. MDI YMCA members get a discount.

The day starts at 9am with Lawn Mower Pulling at the Unity Race Way, 10am head over to Unity Pond Pottery for a pottery Demo, 11am - 3pm at the Field of Dreams there will be games, crafts, vendors, chicken BBQ, ice cream, music and more. 4- 6pm YoUnity Winery is hosting a free wine tasting. 5:30pm UCCPA is offering a 4-course local-source dinner with concert (Sandy River Ramblers), festivities will end at the Unity Raceway, at 6pm you can watch the 100 Lap Enduro Race, 8pm Welterweights featuring Kelly Ravin will entertain you while you wait for the Firework show at 9:30pm.
The Maine-ly Outdoors Ministry of Daystar Chapel, at 574 Lakewood Rd, Madison is hosting their 2nd annual Maine-ly Music Jamboree on Saturday, July 29th from 1 - 6 pm. For all music lovers of country and southern gospel. Featuring a variety of local Maine musicians. Food and beverages available at a reasonable cost. Bouncy houses for the kids.
