UMaine to Induct Grant Standbrook Into Hall of Fame With 2017 Class

ORONO, MAINE (WABI)- UMaine announced today longtime assistant men’s hockey coach, Grant Standbrook, will be inducted into the UMaine Sports Hall of Fame this year.

They've added Standbrook to their previously announced group.

Grant coached and recruited players for UMaine hockey for 21 years, playing a major part in the program's two national championships. Umaine won over 500 games during his time in Orono. Grant, “the recruiter”, brought in 34 All-Americans, 10 Olympians, and 69 players he helped develop into NHL caliber according to the school's release.

The UMaine Hall of Fame ceremony is September 8th.
