Mattanawcook and Old Town are top Teams at the PVC Golf Tournament

LINCOLN, MAINE (WABI) - Penobscot Valley Conference golf championships today in Lincoln. The top three teams in class C and the top two teams in class B advance to the state golf championships next month at Natanis.

PVC's being played at JaTo Highlands. This is defending class C state champion Logan Thompson (MA) making the short par putt on 6. He had low round with a 72.

In class B Old Town's Chris Kauppila leaves this putt on the edge of the cup. He was second overall with a 77.

McKenzie Plourde of Penobscot Valley looking for another berth in the state championship with the chip. She shot 94 and had the low round for the girls.

Libby Boone of Carlisle also shot below 100 and will compete in the state schoolgirl championships.

Mattanawcook had the low round of the day with a 335. Houlton and George Stevens also qualified for the states.
Old Town won class B with a 352 and MDI finished second and also advanced.
