Locals Recognized by USA Today's All-USA Maine Baseball Teams.

PORTLAND, MAINE (WABI)- Some locals received the top honors in USA Today's All-USA Maine Baseball Teams.

Orono head coach Don Joseph is named Coach of the Year. He led the Red Riots to their first state title since 1994.

Bangor's Peter Kemble is honored as the Player of the Year. The UMaine commit helped Bangor earn its 4th straight state title. According to the announcement, Peter only allowed one earned run this season.

This year's Mr. Baseball, Jackson Coutts, made first team with Messalonskee's Josh Joy.

UMaine bound Alex McKenney of Hampden, Brewer's Alex Maxsimic, Hermon's Zach Nash, Old Town's Ryan Hoogterp and Erskine's Nate Howard made the 2nd team.
