BELFAST, Maine. (WABI) - A ceremonial wreath was laid Saturday in Belfast to commemorate the servicemen from Waldo County in World War I.

It was all part of the re-dedication of the Belfast Footbridge to honor veterans who served and those from Waldo County.

A parade of flags made its way over the bridge where Senate President Mike Thibodeau and several others gave speeches on behalf of the veterans.

Other events included a sermon led by Pastor Horton and a twenty-one gun salute.
