Women Suffers Broken Bones And Other Injuries After Jogging Accident In Rockland

ROCKLAND, MAINE (WABI) - A Hope woman suffered broken bones and other injuries after authorities say she ran into a truck.

According to officials, 42-year-old Jennifer Messier was jogging on Camden Street last Friday when she went to cross the road near Shore Village Apartment Complex.

We're told there's no crosswalk there.

Police say Messier misjudged the traffic pattern and ran into the back of a 53-foot steel flatbed trailer.

Authorities say the truck driver didn't know she ran into it.

Messier was transported to Penobscot Bay Medical Center then flown to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

She's in stable condition.
