BANGOR, Maine (WABI) A Winterport man who recently resigned from the Bangor School Department is now accused of secretly video recording women in public places.

Bangor Police say 30-year-old Benjamin Emmott is believed to have been recording video for several years in several places around the city.

Police and school officials say there's no evidence anyone under the age of 18 was photographed or filmed without their consent.

School officials do say a former employee was found to have had their privacy violated and support is being offered to that person.

Emmott faces seven counts of violation of privacy.

He's accused of photographing or recording a place of a person's body that is concealed from public view and a reasonable person would expect it to be safe from surveillance.
