Winter Storm Brings Flooding to Portland

PORTLAND, Maine- The combination of high tide and the powerful nor'easter caused flooding along the coast this afternoon.

High tide was at about 12:30 p.m.

Flooding was reported along Commercial Street and on Marginal Way in Portland.

The National Weather Service said the high tide was the third highest tide ever for Portland at 13.79 feet and the highest since the Blizzard of 1978, which reached 14.17 feet.
