ST. ALBANS, Maine (WABI) Investigators say combustibles too close to a candle caused a fire in St. Albans over the weekend that killed a woman from Southern Maine.

Authorities say 48-year-old Connie Bailey of West Newfield was staying in a camper on the Corinna Road, a passerby noticed smoke coming from the camper around 6am on Saturday morning.

We're told rescue crews pulled Bailey from the camper, but efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.

Investigators say there were no smoke detectors in the camper.
