WATERVILLE, Maine (WABI) - Waterville's Planning Board has approved final plans for a strip mall on Kennedy Memorial Drive.
The proposed site is at the corner of the Marden's store parking lot right off Exit 127.
It's where the Weathervane restaurant and Lucien's Car Wash used to be.
The property has remained unused for a couple of years and is owned by the Marden brothers.
They're currently looking for tenants to occupy the new mall before it's built. It's expected to include retail shops and restaurants.
"They'll need to get building permits issued- that type of thing. But as far as approvals go, they're good to go. We wish them well," said Paul Lussier, Chairman of the Waterville Planning Board.
We're told construction may begin as early as spring of next year.
