Police have the road blocked off along a stretch of Route 2.
It's been blocked off since about 1 Monday afternoon.
It is unconfirmed at the moment but neighbors say a man held himself up in his home on Mowhawk Road after police came to serve a warrant for his arrest.
One officer tells TV5 Police were initially trying to make contact with the man held up inside his home with a gun.
A few nearby homes were evacuated.
Neighbors say they are shocked.
"They just moved us back and what I had seen before was people suiting up and them making up their faces and doing all kinds of things so I think they are probably getting ready to do something. It's so crazy it really is. You wouldn't think anything would happen in Lincoln like that. It's just a small town so, it's kind of nerve racking though with all those guns and police."
An armored vehicle for the tactical team is on scene.
It is still a very active scene with police coming and going.
We have a crew on scene and will bring more information as it becomes available.
William Bradbury of Lincoln is the man held up in his home on Mohawk Road. Police say there are weapons in the home and that it is still a very active situation at this time. They are still working to serve Bradbury several arrest warrants.
Stay tuned as more information becomes available.
