The Zachary Project Aims to Raise Money for Addiction Education with Snowmobile Ride and Spaghetti Dinner

PLYMOUTH, Maine (WABI)- A story we told you about a few weeks ago. The Zachary Project is a non-profit organization aimed at preventing drug addiction.

Started by Vickey Witham, her son, 28-year-old Zachary Braley died of an overdose in February 2017.

The non-profit is organizing a snowmobile ride and spaghetti dinner to raise money to provide education on addiction awareness to children and adults.

The event is on Saturday February 17th at the Braley Residence on 323 Condon Road in Plymouth. Registration for the ride begins at 8am and the ride starts at 10am. There is a suggested $20 donation.

The dinner will take place after the ride form 1pm - 5pm at the American Legion on 64 North Street in Newport. There is a suggested $10 donation for the supper.

A recovering addict will be in attendance who is available to chat with anyone who wants to.
