Suspect Arrested After Double Stabbing In Rockland

ROCKLAND, Maine (WABI) - A Rockland man has been arrested after a double stabbing Wednesday.

Police were called to an apartment complex on Knox Street around noon.

Authorities determined a man and a woman had been stabbed at the residence.

Police identified the suspect as 32-year-old George Gilmore.

They later arrested Gilmore at a local business.

He's charged with elevated aggravated assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The female victim was treated and released from Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport.

The male victim was taken to a Portland hospital.

Gilmore is being held at the Knox County Jail.
