CNN Senator Susan Collins appeared on CNN's State of the Union this morning.
Collins expressed her concerns on the new health care bill, tweeting on Thursday that she will vote NO on the bill based on the cuts to medicaid coverage.
"I would respectfully disagree with the Vice President's analysis," said Collins. "This bill would impose fundamental, sweeping changes in the medicaid program and those include very deep cuts. That would affect some of the most vulnerable people in our society including disabled children, poor seniors. It would affect our rural hospitals and our nursing homes and they would have a difficult time even staying in existence."
Collins also says there are 8 to 10 republican senators who have concerns about the bill and does not think it will pass.
Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell announced on Saturday a one week delay of the vote on the bill to allow Senator John McCain to recover from a recent surgery.
