St. Albans Man Accused of Killing Uncle Expected to Change Plea

ST. ALBANS, Maine (WABI) - A man from St. Albans accused of shooting his uncle to death is expected to plead guilty.

26-year-old Jeremy Erving pleaded insanity to a murder charge last spring.

He's due in court Wednesday for a hearing to change that plea.

Jury selection was scheduled to start in Erving's trial next Thursday.

Police say Erving admitted to his girlfriend and her father that he killed his uncle in April of 2016.

It came after they bailed him out of jail following Erving's drunk driving arrest.

53-year-old Randy Erving's body was found at his home on McNally road.

Authorities say he and his nephew were drinking heavily the previous day.
