Seal Harbor Man Indicted After Gouldsboro Standoff

SEAL HARBOR, Maine (WABI) - A man from Seal Harbor accused of creating a police standoff in Gouldsboro has been indicted by a grand jury.

32-year-old Alan Walton is facing more than a dozen charges in connection with the incident, including robbery, reckless conduct with a firearm and terrorizing.

He was formally charged in Hancock County Thursday.

In June, police received a report that Walton was armed and inside a residence on Main Street.

The state police tactical team, along with other agencies, surrounded the home.

Walton surrendered a few hours later.

At the time, he also had warrants out for his arrest for some crimes on MDI in January.

Walton was indicted in those cases, too.

He's charged with theft and burglary in Bar Harbor and Trenton.
