BANGOR, Maine (WABI) Kathy Solley from the Hancock County SPCA is in this week with Baby, a 19 lb little girl with an awesome personality.
She was surrendered to as due to moving to a new place and could not afford to keep her.
The shelters has a couple of dogs on Woof Watchers and Baby is now on Catra-System (feline Nutri-System).
She is way over weight, and while folks think it's cute, it's not good for their health.
The SPCA is trying to expand our fostering system within the shelter.
We would love to have folks who might be able to foster dogs (and older cats).
Maybe you can't have a pet of your own but would like to help by fostering till we find homes for the pets who have been at the shelter for a while.
It's a great way to socialize with these animals who need to be out in a home as opposed to being in the shelter.
St. Francis Fair Saturday, August 12th from 9:00 am till 1:00.
Located at the Blue Hill Fairgrounds. The shelter will have a yard sale with lots of interesting stuff.
If you want more information about Baby or you would like to adopt a pet from the SPCA of Hancock County you can call them at 667-8088 or go to their website at spcahancockcounty.org.
