Rangeley Man Sentenced to Prison for Deadly Collision in Strong

STRONG, Maine (WABI) - A man from Rangeley involved in a deadly crash in Strong that killed another driver is going to prison for two years.

25-year-old Mark Garner pleaded guilty Tuesday to aggravated OUI.

In exchange, a manslaughter charge was dropped.

Garner also lost his drivers license for 10 years and will do 400 hours of community service once he's out of prison.

He also agreed to visit schools 10 times to talk about the dangers of drinking and driving.

Police say Garner was speeding when his truck crossed the center line on Lambert Hill Road last October.

He collided with a pick-up driven by 35-year-old Rusty Knox.

Knox died.

Garner's two passengers were injured.
