Public invited to September meeting with Maine Lobster Festival leadership

ROCKLAND, Maine (WABI) - Maine Lobster Festival leadership held a closed door meeting last night...they say they won't release details about what was discussed until next month.

Controversy surrounded the festival after the Sea Goddess had her title taken away.

According to Village Soup, the board president declined to say if the Sea Goddess issue was discussed at Wednesday night's meeting.

The public is invited to a meeting on September 25th at 6:30pm at the Maine Lighthouse Museum.

That's when the full festival board will hear a report from the executive committee.
