ORONO, Maine (WABI) The owner of Orono Pharmacy has agreed to a $60,000 settlement with the government.
That's according to authorities who say from 2014 to 2016, Ali Aghamoosa violated the Controlled Substances Act.
They say his pharmacy failed to keep complete and accurate records of pharmacy transactions concerning such drugs.
Court documents say thousands of doses of controlled substances were unaccounted for, a pharmacist diverted controlled substances, and another pharmacist falsified records.
The Maine Board of Pharmacy suspended Aghamoosa for a month last year for unprofessional conduct.
Authorities say in settling the case, Aghamoosa admitted no wrongdoing
