BANGOR, Maine (WABI) Bangor Community Theater in partnership with the Bangor Grange held an open house today.
Both organizations began their partnership in 2015 and held the open house to educate the public on the work the theater and grange do in the community.
Quilts were on display for Alzheimer's patients along with games, food and drink.
"It's a good way to get the word out," said Brenda Gammon from Bangor Grange. "You know, people sometimes hear Grange, and they're like, "I don't know what that is, so I don't know if I wanna join." So, this is a good way to get the information out to them so we can talk with them, just meet them, and maybe it's something they wanna do. Also, it's a chance for them to get to know the theater group, and see if there's theater productions that they wanna do, because we're just trying to get the word out."
