Maine (WABI) - A North Carolina man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a man in Millinocket last week.

State Police say 38 year old Christopher Murray was taken into custody Wednesday in Maxton, North Carolina.

Murray is accused of attacking and shooting Wayne Lapierre inside his Millinocket home. Lapierre later died at a Bangor hospital.

His wife was also wounded in the home invasion.

Murray is being held as a fugitive from justice. He'll face murder charges upon his return to Maine.

Police are searching for a second man wanted in connection with the crime, 43 year old Tony Locklear. He is believed to be in the Maxton area.
