Caribou, Maine (WAGM) A groundbreaking ceremony will take place later this month for a homeless shelter and job training program in Caribou.
Construction will begin on four duplex cottages to serve as transitional housing for homeless veterans in Aroostook County.
The program is through the United Farm Veterans of Maine.
Recent donations, including building materials, helped to keep the project on target.
According to UVM's president, a donation of $10,000 from Farm Credit East based in Presque Isle helped UVM purchase the property.
