BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Multiple crews were on scene of a two-unit building fire in Bangor on Saturday.
Authorities responded to Palm Street Saturday morning around 8.
Authorities say the way the home is built caused issues with putting the fire out.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined although authorities say they may have an idea of what may have caused it.
Tim Higgins, Bangor Fire Chief said, "Construction type is what we call balloon frame so, if the fire is in the basement, it could just as quickly be in the attic...They have been chasing the fire through the walls, up and around and getting it dug out."
Authorities say they do not believe this fire to be suspicious at this time.
No injuries were reported.
