Millinocket Man Dies After "Targeted Home Invasion"

State Police say the Millinocket shooting that took place earlier this week is now ruled a homicide.

According to authorities, 59- year-old Wayne Lapierre, of Millinocket died last night at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

On Tuesday, officials responded to a home on Massachusetts Avenue.

At the residence, they found a man and a women inside- the man unresponsive.

Officials say the two were victims of a targeted home invasion.

State police say if anyone saw or heard anything in Millinocket on Tuesday to call 973-3700.
