Man Pleads Not Guilty To Helping To Hide Dogs Against Court Order

AUGUSTA, Maine (WMTW) A man accused of helping his girlfriend hide two dogs that were ordered to be euthanized has pleaded not guilty.

Brandon Ross faces a charge of refusing to comply with a court order.

The two dogs disappeared in October, the same day the Supreme Court denied a Winslow woman's request to overturn the order to euthanize the dogs.

A judge ordered Danielle Jones to put the dogs down last fall after the dogs escaped their backyard and attacked and killed another dog.

Police said Jones reported the dogs missing after she was allowed by the Waterville Area Humane Society to take them for a walk.
