Man Arrested In Murder Of Domestic Partner In Portland

PORTLAND, Maine (WMTW) - Police have charged a Portland man with murder in the death of his partner six days after she was found dead in their home.

Portland police say 40-year old Anthony Leng turned himself in on Saturday morning.

36-year-old Sokha Khuon was found dead last Sunday after a neighbor reported hearing gun shots.

The autopsy revealed that Khuon died from several gunshot wounds and her death was ruled a homicide.

Police say the couple's two children, ages 10 and 15, were home at the time and are now being cared for by relatives.

It's unclear whether Leng has an attorney.

He is due in court Tuesday.

The department is still hoping to get information from anyone who may have witnessed or have knowledge of the incident. Anyone with information can call police at (207) 874-8575.
