ARUNDEL, Maine (WMTW) There were some loose pigs along the Maine Turnpike Thursday afternoon.

The animals spotted along the Northbound side of the highway near mile 28 in Arundel.

According to the owner, this isn't the first time the animals have escaped.

The pigs escaped from the Fryeburg Fair earlier this week.

Once he got the call, he says he was not surprised, and knew how to get them back.

Turnpike crews, State Troopers, and the Warden Service all helped in the round up.

All the pigs were returned safely to their pen.
