BANGOR, Maine. (WABI) - The Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce held its last "Hot Stove" session.
Folks gathered at Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor.
The monthly sessions give state, federal and local officials an opportunity to meet with businesses and community members.
At the meeting, they tackled a variety of topics including tax conformity, Medicaid and ranked choice voting.
Organizers say this day is important for people to become aware and updated with what is happening in communities.
"A lot of us are looking for some certainty in planning our businesses strategizing and how we are going to go about our businesses so having an awareness of what's going on that might impact us that's a big thing this forum provides."
We're told the sessions will pick back up again in next year in January.
