AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - A Jay man will go back on trial in April in connection with the shooting death of a man in June of 2016.
In October, a judge declared a mistrial when a jury in Franklin County couldn't reach a unanimous decision in the trial of 26-year-old Timothy Danforth.
He's charged with murder, accused of shooting 24-year-old Michael Reis of New Sharon during a confrontation with Danforth, Danforth's father, and Danforth's fiancee.
The state argued the shooting happened over a $200 bag of pot.
The judge has moved the case to Kennebec County where a jury will be chosen beginning April 5th.
