Jay Man Accused of Threatening Tow Truck Driver Enters Plea

JAY, Maine (WABI) - A man from Jay accused of threatening a man trying to repossess his car is waiting to be sentenced after admitting to a weapons violation.

The Sun Journal reports 57-year-old William Bowie pleaded guilty to violating a court order that he not have any firearms.

In exchange, more serious charges against him were dropped.

Bowie's plea on Tuesday ended a trial for him and his wife, 56-year-old Jacqueline Bowie.

The newspaper reports the case against Jacqueline Bowie was dismissed.

Police say in September of last year William Bowie fired three gunshots at a tow truck driver.

The driver was backing up to take a vehicle from Bowie's home on Intervale Road.
